Students in classroom-based programs meet with their school Counselor at least twice each year to review progress and future goals. These meetings include academic planning, course selection, graduation support, Personal Life Planning: college and career guidance, financial aid resources, and post-secondary planning. Your School Counselor can also provide short term individual and/or group counseling, social emotional support and skill development, crisis support, and conflict resolution. They also help coordinate support services with school staff and community partners.

Hello, SBI Families! My name is Sarah Pearson. I am your school counselor for the Excelsior North Victorville (SBI) campus this year! I have been the school counselor for SBI for the last two years and am excited to start a third! I have my Master's of Education in School Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I was a teacher for years before becoming a counselor and love working with middle and high school students. My job here is to help you in the areas of College and Career, Academic Pursuits, Mental Health, and Personal skills and life challenges. I am located in the back of the front office. You can come see me in passing periods, lunch, before and after school and by appointment. The best way to get a hold of me is through email. My email is sarahp@excelsior.com. I look forward to another year at SBI!
